 Dans la vraie vie, même les enfants peuvent être amenés à intervenir en cas de situation d’urgence. Le programme Prêts à rester seuls, destiné aux jeunes âgés de 9 à 13 ans, a comme objectif de leur apprendre les techniques de base en secourisme et de leur permettre d’acquérir les compétences nécessaires afin qu’ils puissent assurer leur sécurité à tout moment où ils ne sont pas sous la supervision d’un parent ou d’un adulte de confiance. Ils apprendront aussi l’importance de faire preuve de respect et de prendre leurs responsabilités. Des mises en situation les prépareront à faire face à des circonstances imprévues. Après cette formation, ils recevront une attestation de réussite reconnue par la Croix-Rouge et seront ainsi Prêts à rester seuls! Formation en français d'une durée d'une journée, de 9h00 à 15h00 (incluant une pause au dîner), dans notre salle d'activité située à La Cité des Rocheuses.

 La formation de Gardiens avertis de la Croix-Rouge est un cours qui s’adresse aux jeunes de 11 à 15 ans qui désirent garder des enfants. Ce cours présente les techniques de secourisme de base et les compétences nécessaires pour prendre soin d’enfants plus jeunes qu’eux. Les participants apprennent à s’occuper d’autres enfants, à prévenir les urgences et à y répondre. Ce cours offre également aux jeunes la formation nécessaire pour promouvoir leurs services comme gardiens avertis auprès des parents potentiellement intéressés. Formation en français d'une durée d'une journée, de 8h30 à 16h30 (incluant une pause au dîner), dans notre salle d'activité située à La Cité des Rocheuses.
